Structure

Ranitidine-150
Each tablet contains Ranitidine 150 mg

Ranitidine-300
Each tablet contains Ranitidine 300 mg

Ranitidine Injection
Each ml contains Ranitidine 25 mg

Without a Script

Duodenal ulcer, benign gastric ulcer: 150 b.i.d. or 300 mg once daily.
After 4-8 weeks 150 at bedtime.
Reflux oesophagitis 150 b.i.d. for upto 8 weeks.

Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: 150 2 or 3 times daily increasing upto max of 6 g/day.
Prevention of recurrent bleeding in stress ulcers: 150 b.i.d.
Prevention of acid aspiration during general anaesthesia: 150 orally 2 hours before induction.
May be repeated every 6 hours as required.
Children: 50-150 daily have been given.
Prevention of Mendelsonís Syndrome: 150 2-4 hours before surgery.
In obstetric patients 150 should be given every 6 hours until delivery.

IV / IM
Pathological hypersecretory conditions and intractable ulcers in hospitalized patients: 50-100 every 6 hours.
Prevention of Mendelsonís Syndrome: 50-100 .
Note: Renal impairment: when creatinine clearance is less than 50 ml/min 150 every 24 hours.

Contraindications

Ranitidine is contraindicated if you have any of the following conditions:
- Hypersensitivity;
- Children below 8 years;
