Each tablet contains Famotidine 20 mg

Famotidine-40
Each tablet contains Famotidine 20 mg

Without a Prescription

Duodenal and benign gastric ulcers: 40 mg once at bedtime or 20 mg twice daily, 4-8 weeks.
Maintenance: 20 mg at bedtime.
Children: Not recommended.
Reflux oesophagitis: 20 mg-40 mg b.i.d. for up to 6-12 weeks.
Maintenance: 20 mg b.i.d.
If erosions are present dose may be increased up to 40 mg b.i.d. for up to 12 weeks.

Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: Start with 20 mg 6 hourly, adjusted upwards as required.
Children: Safety not established.
Elderly: No dose changes needed.
Heartburn, acid indigestion and sour stomach: 10 mg, 1 hour before meals as preventive measure.

Contraindications

Famotidine is contraindicated if you have any of the following conditions:
- Hypersensitivity,
- Gastric malignancy.
