Without a Prescription

Beclometasone and Vanceril are prescribed for the prevention of recurring symptoms of bronchial asthma.
Beclometasone is a type of steroid prescribed for respiratory problems.
Beclometasone is prescribed for the maintenance treatment of asthma as prophylactic therapy in patients 5 years of age and older.
Beconase and Vancenase are prescribed to relieve the symptoms of hay fever and to prevent regrowth of nasal polyps following surgical removal.

Dosage

ADULTS

Beclometasone Nasal Spray

1-2 inhalations in each nostril 2-4 times a day.

Beclometasone Oral Inhalant

2 inhalations taken 3- 4 times a day.

Beclometasone Nasal Inhalation

1 inhalation in each nostril 2-4 times a day.

CHILDREN

Beclometasone Nasal Spray

Children 6-12 years of age: 1 inhalation in each nostril 2 times a day.

Beclometasone Nasal Inhalation

Children 6-12 years of age: 1 inhalation 3 times a day.

Beclometasone Oral Inhalant

Children 6-12 years of age: 1-2 inhalations 3-4 times a day.

- Increased pressure within the eye (glaucoma);

Interactions

Do not take Beclometasone with any of the following drugs:
- Beclometasone;
- Beconase AQ Nasal Spray;
- Beconase Inhalation Aerosol;
- Qvar Inhalation Aerosol;
- Vancenase AQ Nasal Spray and Double Strength Nasal Spray;
- Vancenase Nasal Inhaler and PocketHaler Nasal Inhaler;
- Vanceril Inhalation Aerosol and Double Strength Inhalation Aerosol;
- Vanceril Inhaler;

Contraindications

Beclometasone is contraindicated in the primary treatment of status asthmaticus or other acute episodes of asthma where intensive measures are required.

Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of Beclometasone contraindicates its use.

Beclometasone is contraindicated for the treatment of non-asthmatic bronchitis, or for intermittent asthma therapy.

Beclometasone is contraindicated if you've recently had:
- An injury to the nose;
- Nasal ulcers;
- Nose surgery;

Beclometasone is contraindicated if you are sensitive to or have ever had an allergic reaction to Beclometasone or other steroid drugs.
