Balsalazide helps to reduce symptoms of ulcerative colitis such as diarrhea, rectal bleeding, and stomach pain.
Balsalazide is an anti-inflammatory drug that works by decreasing swelling in the colon.

Contraindications

Balsalazide is contraindicated if you have any of the following conditions:
- if you are allergic NSAIDs (ibuprofen, celecoxib);
- if you are allergic salicylates (salsalate);
- if you are allergic to aspirin;
- If you are allergic to Balsalazide, mesalazine, aspirin or other salicylate;
- if you are allergic to Balsalazide;
- If you are pregnant, trying for a baby or breast-feedin;
- If you are taking digoxin or methotrexat;
- if you have a live virus vaccine (varicella vaccine);
- If you have a stomach or duodenal ulce;
- if you have any other allergies;
- if you have kidney disease;
- if you have liver disease;
- if you have stomach/intestinal blockage (pyloric stenosis);
- If you suffer from a blood disorde;
- If you suffer from asthm;
- If you suffer from liver or kidney problem;

Side Effects
