- shortness of breath;
- slurred speech;
- unusually faster or slower heartbeat;
- weakness;

Side Effects

Adalat side effects that you should report to your health care professional or doctor as soon as possible:
- allergic reactions;
- flushing;
- headache, fatigue, tiredness;
- increased urination;
- insomnia;
- nausea or constipation;
- psychosis;
- severe dizziness or fainting;
- swelling of the legs or ankles;
- unusually fast or slow heartbeat;
- vivid or abnormal dreams;
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice);
- closing of the throat;
- difficulty in breathing;
- swelling of the lips, tongue, face, or hives;

Interactions

Do not take Adalat with any of the following drugs:
- carbamazepine (tegretol);
- cimetidine (ta gamet, ta gamet hb);
- erythromycin (e-mycin, e.e.s., eryc, ery-tab, others);
- itraconazole (sporanox) or ketoconazole (nizoral);
- other heart medications to treat the same or another condition;
- phenytoin (dilantin);
- rifampin (rifadin, rimactane) or rifabutin (mycobutin );
